  • Representing an Indian telecom company in relation to the ongoing       dispute with a competitor before the Competition Commission of       India.
  • Representing an Indian telecom company, arraigned as a key       accused in the 2G Spectrum trial.
  • Providing a leading multi-national telecom company litigation       advisory services in the 2G Spectrum trial.
  • Acting as Counsel for a leading multi-national telecom company,       and assisting the company in being a step ahead of the       telecommunications sector by introducing it to a gamut of Audits       including regulatory audits, legal compliances audit, CAF audits etc.       The nationwide extensive audits resulted in a major policy shift       within the organization, with the implementation of strategic       regulatory and legal compliances in the company, which included:
  • Best practices for better compliance management,
  • Legal immunity for certain penalties and violations, and
  • Overhauling their agreements
  • Defending Key Management Company Officials, including the India       head of a multi-national telecom giant – a landmark case in Indian       telecom history.
  • Representing three of the key accused in the biggest Contractors       scam in optical fiber cables in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
  • Assisting an international Telecom company in assessing and       evaluating its licensing requirements in India, by conducting an       in-      depth study of their business model.
  • Representing nodal organisations for various Industry bodies       before the TRAI and TDSAT, as well as before the Supreme Court of       India.
  • Appearing before TRAI, TDSAT, various High Courts and the       Supreme Court of India for telecom operators on several landmark       cases
  • Conducting Legal Audits for an Indian company (an international       SIM card provider), as well as for a domestic telecom company.
  • Working in varying capacities, both contentious and       non-      contentious, for Indian telecom companies.
  • Advising an Indian telecom company, and assisting them in       safeguarding their intellectual property rights as also on issues       pertaining to competition aspects of Mergers & Acquisitions.
  • Active involvement with various committees and sub-committees at       the Broadband India Forum (BIF) as an Expert Advisor, on various       issues, including telecom infrastructure, broadband proliferation,       content and privacy, etc.
  • Opining on various consultation papers, including on net neutrality,       OTT, etc., proposed by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India       (“TRAI”).
