The Firm has been at the forefront of advising and representing leading developers, land owners, project management companies and HNIs in cutting edge real estate transactions and disputes across the country. We have represented clients through all levels of the disputes resolution process, including the district courts, High Courts, the Supreme Court of India, Competition Commission of India as well as specialised Tribunals with a high degree of success. Members of the Firm have played a key role in the drafting of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Authority Act, 2016. The Firm has also played an active role in the landmark litigation involving the interface between practices of the real estate players and competition laws of the country. Through its network of associate offices all over the country, we have advised a host of clients on due diligences, title searches, etc. across a spectrum of projects including setting up of solar parks, multiplexes, housing and commercial projects, land acquisitions, and the like.

Our breadth of experience in this regard includes the following:

  • Representing a leading pharmaceutical company in a litigation with       a state urban development authority on issues on land acquisition,       demolition, levy of excess External Development Charges and the       policy of exchange of redundant revenue ways.
  • Representing a prominent group company before State Real Estate       Regulation Authorities across the country and also advising on       contracts and documentation other than ensuring RERA       compliances.
  • Challanged the constitutional validity of Punjab Scheduled Roads       and Controlled Areas Restrictions of Unregulated Development       Rules, 1965 being ultra vires the Act before the Supreme Court of       India.
  • Representing various investors against a leading five star hotel       chain as regards their assured return investment policy in one of       the five star hotels located in Delhi. Various winding up petitions       have been filed before the Delhi High Court.
  • Advisory to various companies as regards their ongoing projects       and the impact on the enforcement of RERA and amendments in       the state Apartment Ownership Acts and Rules.
  • Executed Due Diligence and preparation of reports for a prominent       multinational multiplex operator at 20 locations spread across 12       states of India.
  • Advised on Title Diligence for a prominent housing development       company at 8 locations across India.
  • Advised on RERA Compliances for a prominent housing       development company at 2 locations across India.
  • Represented and advised on Land Due Diligence Project for a       prominent multinational solar energy company in India for a       land parcel spread over 6 acres in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
  • Represented a prominent housing development company in       relation to registration and documentation support.
  • Advised state governments and Public Sector Undertakings in       a number of land acquisition matters across North India.
  • Represented developers and builders at all fora in matters       pertaining to land acquisition.
  • Conducted real estate audits for prominent project developers.
  • Advising a prominent real estate company in RERA Compliances       and litigation across the country.
