Arthe Law was formed by the coming together of the law firms DPSA Legal and TMT Law Practice. The aim was to create a progressive, modern law firm on the move. Its constituent firms, both already big players in Delhi, converged to create a regional legal giant with offices in Delhi and Mumbai. As the world becomes smaller, the merger had responded to an intensifying requirement from clients to have access to a larger network of lawyers, offering specialized and in-depth expertise to meet their increasingly complex legal needs. Their clients would thus, now have the benefit of access to the combined knowledge of a greater number of experienced lawyers with the same focus on superior client service, time management and a value system of always looking at the bigger picture.

Arthe Law, through its different definitions in Sanskrit means ‘for the sake of’ law. This name was chosen because the firm’s focus was not being limited by practice areas, but rather was defined by their passion for the law.

Arthe Law created a culture which encouraged the synergy of services across industries, combining aspects of both traditional legal practices as well as niche, developing areas of law. The firm’s repertoire thus included a strong criminal, white collar and civil litigation, alternate dispute resolution, real estate and government policy & advisory practice, to intellectual property, media & entertainment, telecom regulatory, and corporate advisory services, to emerging areas like healthcare & bio-pharma, space laws and a sports practice.

This combined practice area expertise made Arthe Law one of the strongest full service firms in the country, with a pan India presence. Its lawyers were similarly not defined by a practice area, the firm’s belief lay in creating well-rounded, solution-oriented professionals who see complex issues and problems in their entirety and provide wholesome solutions, taking into account all areas of the law.
